Parkinson’s Movement Fundamentals

Gain the confidence and skills to safely lead foundational exercise sessions tailored for individuals with Parkinson’s disease using the Pilates 4 Parkinson’s Method. This course provides the essential tools and a strong professional credential to begin your specialization in Parkinson’s movement care.

Outcome: Prepares movement professionals to safely deliver foundational Parkinson’s exercise sessions using the Pilates 4 Parkinson’s Method.

Credentials Earned: Certificate of Completion, 20 NPCP cecs

Eligibility: Open to Pilates teachers, movement professionals, and health/fitness educators

Certified Pilates 4 Parkinson’s (P4P) Specialist
Parkinson’s Exercise Programming

Elevate your practice by mastering personalized Parkinson’s exercise programming through in-depth study and real-world mentorship. You’ll sharpen your clinical reasoning and build the expertise to design and adapt movement plans for individuals across the spectrum of PD.

Outcome: Deepens knowledge of Parkinson’s pathology, progression, and exercise adaptations. Includes a mentorship to support real-time application and program design.

Mentorship Includes: Case studies, Supervised client work, Customized exercise planning for specific Parkinson’s profiles

Credentials Earned: P4P Specialist Certification

Level 1 Workshop Leader

Take the next step as a leader by becoming certified to teach introductory P4P workshops to fellow professionals and caregivers. This role positions you as a trusted voice in the field, expanding your impact while growing your teaching portfolio.

Outcome: Trains Specialists to teach introductory workshops (2–5 hours) for peers and professionals.

Authorized To Teach: Parkinson’s Movement Fundamentals workshops, Introductory workshops for caregivers or Pilates teachers

P4P Educator
Level 2 Course Leader

Become a senior educator and ambassador for Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy. You’ll be qualified to teach the full certification course, guide new instructors, and contribute to shaping Parkinson’s movement education on a broader scale—both nationally and internationally.

Outcome: Enables experienced Educators to deliver P4P workshops and the full 20-hour certification course, mentor new instructors, and represent the Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy domestically in the USA and internationally.

Authorized To Teach: workshops and the Entire 20-hour Certified Instructor course, Assist in Specialist mentorships

Prerequisite: Educator – Level 1 and additional review/approval process
