Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy (“PTTA”) provides educational programs, professional training, certification courses, workshops, publications, and related resources for movement professionals, fitness professionals, rehabilitation specialists, caregivers, and other learners.
In Summary
Before participating in any PTTA program, please understand the following:
- PTTA provides educational information only and does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or individualized healthcare advice.
- Certification through PTTA does not constitute professional licensure or authorize participants to practice outside their legal scope of practice.
- Exercise involves inherent risks. Each participant is responsible for using sound professional judgment and ensuring activities are appropriate for the individuals they serve.

1. Educational Purpose
The information, courses, workshops, certifications, books, videos, publications, digital resources, and other educational materials provided by Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy (“PTTA,” “Academy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) are offered solely for educational and informational purposes.
PTTA seeks to educate movement professionals, fitness professionals, rehabilitation specialists, caregivers, and other learners regarding exercise programming and movement strategies for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders.
Participation in PTTA programs does not establish a healthcare provider–patient relationship or any other professional relationship between PTTA and participants or between PTTA and any individual receiving services from participants.
2. No Medical Advice
PTTA does not practice medicine.
Nothing contained in PTTA educational materials should be interpreted as:
- medical advice;
- medical diagnosis;
- treatment recommendations;
- prescriptions;
- rehabilitation services;
- individualized healthcare planning; or
- a substitute for evaluation or care by a qualified healthcare professional.
Individuals with Parkinson’s disease or other medical conditions should consult their physician or other qualified healthcare provider before beginning or modifying an exercise program.
3. Professional Scope of Practice
Participants remain solely responsible for practicing within the legal scope of practice established by applicable laws, regulations, professional licensure, certifications, employer policies, and professional standards.
Completion of PTTA education does not expand, replace, or modify any participant’s legal authority to provide healthcare or professional services.
4. Certification Disclaimer
PTTA certification recognizes successful completion of Academy requirements.
Certification:
- is an educational credential;
- is not a professional license;
- does not authorize independent medical practice;
- does not guarantee employment;
- does not guarantee insurance reimbursement;
- does not guarantee business success;
- does not guarantee continuing education recognition by every organization.
Participants are responsible for determining whether PTTA education satisfies any requirements applicable to their profession or jurisdiction.
5. Exercise Risks
Physical activity involves inherent risks.
Even appropriately designed exercise programs may result in:
- falls;
- muscle soreness;
- strains;
- sprains;
- fractures;
- cardiovascular events;
- worsening of existing medical conditions; or
- other unforeseen complications.
Participants assume responsibility for evaluating whether any exercise, technique, progression, or recommendation is appropriate for themselves or the individuals with whom they work.
6. Individual Results
Every individual responds differently to exercise and education.
PTTA makes no representation or warranty that participants, clients, caregivers, or patients will achieve specific outcomes, including improvements in symptoms, function, quality of life, mobility, balance, strength, or disease progression.
Past success stories and testimonials do not guarantee future results.
7. No Employment or Business Guarantee
PTTA does not guarantee:
- employment opportunities;
- client acquisition;
- financial success;
- business growth;
- income;
- referrals;
- speaking opportunities; or
- professional advancement.
Success depends upon numerous factors beyond PTTA’s control.

PTTA educational materials may reference scientific publications, organizations, websites, products, equipment, or third-party resources.
Such references are provided for educational purposes and do not necessarily constitute endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation.
