Intellectual Property & Licensing Agreement

Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy (“PTTA”) is committed to protecting the original educational content, methodologies, and resources developed for its courses, workshops, certifications, publications, and professional training programs.

In Summary

By purchasing or accessing PTTA materials, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own educational and professional development.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, scan, photograph, or distribute PTTA materials.
  • Share printed or digital materials with another person.
  • Share your account, login credentials, or course access.
  • Record, photograph, screenshot, or screen-record PTTA classes or course content without written permission.
  • Upload PTTA materials into artificial intelligence (AI) platforms for redistribution, commercial use, or creation of competing content.
  • Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on PTTA proprietary materials for distribution or commercial use.
  • Present PTTA curriculum, teaching methods, or educational content as your own.
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.

PTTA retains all ownership rights to its educational content, intellectual property, trademarks, logos, teaching methodologies, and certification materials.

Violation of this Agreement may result in suspension or termination of access, revocation of certification, legal action, and any other remedies available under applicable law.

1. Purpose

This Intellectual Property & Licensing Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the ownership, licensing, and permitted use of all intellectual property created, owned, licensed, or distributed by Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy (“PTTA,” “Academy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing, purchasing, downloading, viewing, attending, or otherwise using PTTA materials or services, you agree to comply with this Agreement.

2. Ownership of Intellectual Property

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, PTTA retains all worldwide right, title, and interest in and to its intellectual property, including but not limited to:

  • Educational curricula and course content
  • Teaching methodologies and instructional frameworks
  • Exercise programming systems
  • Lesson plans and teaching guides
  • Certification materials and examinations
  • Continuing education materials
  • Books, manuals, workbooks, worksheets, and downloadable resources
  • Videos, audio recordings, presentations, webinars, and demonstrations
  • Illustrations, photographs, graphics, and diagrams
  • Logos, trademarks, service marks, branding, and trade dress
  • Website content, newsletters, emails, and marketing materials
  • Proprietary terminology, educational models, and instructional sequences

Ownership is not transferred through purchase, enrollment, certification, or participation.

3. Limited License

Subject to compliance with this Agreement, PTTA grants the purchaser a limited, revocable, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use licensed materials solely for the purchaser’s own education and professional development.

This license does not grant ownership of any PTTA intellectual property.

4. Permitted Use

Unless otherwise stated in writing, participants may:

  • View PTTA educational materials for personal learning.
  • Download resources specifically designated for download.
  • Print one personal copy of materials when permitted.
  • Apply concepts learned within their own lawful professional practice while acknowledging that PTTA retains ownership of its educational materials and proprietary content.

Nothing in this Agreement permits copying or redistribution of PTTA materials.

5. Prohibited Activities

Without PTTA’s prior written authorization, you may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, scan, photograph, or duplicate materials.
  • Share printed or digital materials with another individual or organization.
  • Record live or recorded training sessions.
  • Capture screenshots or screen recordings of PTTA content.
  • Upload materials to file-sharing websites or cloud services for public access.
  • Translate materials for publication or distribution.
  • Adapt, modify, edit, or create derivative educational works for distribution or commercial use.
  • Incorporate substantial PTTA content into books, courses, presentations, or educational programs.
  • Remove or obscure copyright notices or trademarks.
  • Sell, rent, sublicense, assign, or otherwise commercially exploit PTTA materials.
  • Permit another individual to access materials purchased under your account.

6. Artificial Intelligence

PTTA materials may not be uploaded, submitted, or incorporated into artificial intelligence systems for the purpose of:

  • reproducing PTTA content;
  • creating derivative educational materials;
  • generating competing products or services;
  • commercial redistribution;
  • automated publication;
  • training or fine-tuning AI models using PTTA content.

Reasonable personal use of AI tools that does not reproduce, distribute, or infringe PTTA’s intellectual property rights is not prohibited by this Agreement.

7. Copyright

All PTTA materials are protected under applicable copyright laws and international copyright treaties.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, display, or preparation of derivative works may constitute copyright infringement and may result in civil or criminal penalties where permitted by law.

8. Trademarks

“Parkinson’s Teacher Training Academy,” “PTTA,” associated logos, and other PTTA branding are proprietary identifiers.

No license to use PTTA trademarks or logos is granted except through prior written authorization.

Certification does not authorize unrestricted use of PTTA branding.

9. Certification Materials

Certification manuals, examinations, scoring criteria, assessment tools, and instructional resources are confidential educational materials.

Participants may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or disclose certification materials except as expressly authorized by PTTA.

10. Recording Policy

Unless expressly authorized in writing by PTTA:

  • audio recording is prohibited;
  • video recording is prohibited;
  • screen recording is prohibited;
  • photography of instructional materials is prohibited;
  • reproduction of presentation slides is prohibited.

PTTA may record educational events for its own instructional, archival, quality assurance, or promotional purposes where permitted by law and with appropriate notice.

11. Reporting Suspected Infringement

PTTA encourages reporting of suspected unauthorized use of its intellectual property.

PTTA reserves the right to investigate alleged infringement and pursue appropriate remedies, including removal requests, suspension of access, certification revocation, contractual remedies, or legal action where appropriate.

12. Breach of Agreement

Violation of this Agreement may result in one or more of the following:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of website or course access.
  • Revocation of certification or continuing education eligibility.
  • Termination of future enrollment privileges.
  • Revocation of any license granted under this Agreement.
  • Requests for removal of infringing content.
  • Recovery of damages, costs, attorney’s fees where permitted by law, and other remedies available under applicable law.

PTTA reserves all rights and remedies provided by law or equity.

13. Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved exclusively by PTTA.

No waiver of any provision shall constitute a continuing waiver of that or any other provision.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
